March 26 update from CYP SIG for NHP

Summary of Children and Young People special interest group for Nature Health Practitioners for their meeting on 15th April. 

1. WhatsApp group chat (with 47 members) has been active in sharing events funding opportunities and future collaborations (join here)

2. Nature Connection CIC hosting the admin but welcome people from other groups to run the communication and or an event for a period.  Nicky from OTR did just this for 3 months and now Freya Allport has taken over.

3. Quarterly video call or in-person meetings- opportunity to share in circle; any struggles as a practitioner, to network with others, share advice and contacts, support each other, update evolving collective wishes and intentions for the group’s purpose

4. Last Meeting online 23rd Jan - sharing news and practice, exploring development of more expansive event this year at Belmont

5. 29th June we will be hosted by Belmont Estate - to develop a nature embedded approach to working with young people

6. Currently considering whether to create a Blueprint for Nature to be fully embedded in young people's lives and development and present it to contacts we know, in leadership roles at regional level who would champion the cause.
